Sadiq halwa puri is one of the street food in Lahore that has been there for more than 140 years and the taste has been kept the same through generations it came to Lahore after the partition in 1947 of the subcontinent from bharat and many generations have preserved the taste of this delicious halwa puri currently the fourth generation is keeping its taste preserved and running the business it is named after the father of current owner of Sadiq halwa puri. All the food at Sadiq halwa puri is prepared in desi ghee which brings a unique taste to their channa, qeema ,halwa and puri. The owner haji sahab said that his father told him that he should never compromise on the standard of the halwa puri even though if he is not earning a good profit he should keep the standard of the puri same as his forefathers have done it. And he believes that this is a reason that he has satisfied customers and good quality food although the price is a bit high than the usual halwa puri but his customer willing to pay more because of the taste and the quality of food.
My personal opinion about the food what I liked about it that they are not compromising on the hygiene and that is one of the reason for their customer satisfaction and the food is so good I would rate it as 5 on 5 and the best halwa puri of Lahore.
